Wootae “Summit” Park
Ruling
TL;DR
The Promotion Tournament for the LCS 2026 involves matches to determine team advancement. In this tournament, Estral Esports, including player Wootae “Summit” Park, competed against Disguised. Technical disruptions from DDoS attacks led to pauses throughout the matchplay. During an in-game pause, Summit reviewed a VOD of the match he was actively competing in. Summit’s action constituted cheating by accessing restricted competitive information. Consequently, Summit was disqualified from the LTA North 2026 Promotion tournament.
TIMELINE
The below is a summary of Riot Games’ findings. While Riot Games considered all the facts and evidence available at its disposal, the summary refers only to what Riot Games considers necessary to explain its reasoning.
On 6 October 2025, during the Winners Bracket Round 2 between Estral and Disguised in the Promotion Tournament for the LCS 2026, a series of DDoS attacks disrupted gameplay, resulting in game pauses. During a DDoS related game pause in Game 3, Wootae “Summit” Park switched screens and viewed a VOD of the ongoing game, showing a Nocturne ultimate near the Baron Nashor pit. A review of audio from the Game 3 pause showed that the incident occurred during the technical pause. The recording included a referee telling players not to move and a team member saying “no tabbing” about two minutes and fifty seconds into the pause. The subsequent investigation verified that the VOD matched the in-game sequence, confirming that Summit watched a replay of the ongoing game, resulting in disciplinary proceedings being opened against Summit.
Summit was provided the opportunity to submit a written statement which was received and taken into consideration by Riot Games. Summit’s written statement including an apology and clarification of actions was considered as a mitigating factor.
